Terms & Conditions

Introduction

Welcome to DCE. These Terms & Conditions govern the enrolment, participation, payment, and completion of courses offered by DCE. By submitting an application, accepting an offer of admission, and enrolling in a course, learners agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions and all related policies published on our website.

1. Enrolment

All applicants are responsible for ensuring that the information provided during the application process is accurate, complete, and up to date. DCE reserves the right to refuse or cancel an application where false or misleading information has been provided.

Admission to a course is subject to meeting the relevant entry requirements, payment obligations, and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2. Fees and Payment Terms

Course fees are published on the relevant course pages and must be paid in accordance with the agreed payment schedule before or during the commencement of the programme.

Learners who choose an approved payment plan must ensure that all instalments are paid on time. Outstanding fees may result in restricted access to classes, assessments, results, certificates, transcripts, or other academic services until all payments have been received.

For more information, please see our Fees & Payment Policy:

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Requests to cancel an enrolment or withdraw from a course must be submitted in writing. Refunds will be processed in accordance with DCE’s Refund Policy and may be subject to applicable administrative charges where permitted.

Please refer to our Cancellation & Refund Policy for complete details:

4. Attendance Requirements

Learners are expected to attend all scheduled classes and participate actively in their programme of study.

Students are responsible for notifying the college if they are unable to attend classes due to exceptional circumstances.

5. Assessments and Academic Integrity

Learners are expected to complete all assignments, examinations, and assessments honestly and independently.

Any form of plagiarism, cheating, falsification of documents, or academic misconduct may result in disciplinary action in accordance with DCE policies.

6. Complaints Procedure

DCE is committed to providing a fair, transparent, and supportive learning environment.

Students who wish to raise a concern or complaint should first contact the relevant department. If the matter cannot be resolved informally, it will be managed through DCE’s formal Complaints Procedure.

7. Learner Protection

Where required under applicable legislation and QQI requirements, DCE maintains appropriate Learner Protection arrangements to safeguard learners in the event that a programme cannot be completed.
