Transport & Student Travel

TRANSPORT

Getting around Dublin is easy once you know your options. At DCE, we want to help you travel safely, quickly, and affordably while studying and exploring the city.

Bus (Dublin Bus)
Most students use Dublin Bus for daily commuting. Routes cover the school, city centre, and most residential areas. Check routes and schedules at dublinbus.ie
and use the RTPI app for real-time updates.

LUAS (Tram)
The tram is a fast and convenient way to travel across Dublin. Lines connect key areas and the city centre, making it easy to reach the school. More info at luas.ie

DART (Train)
For longer trips or exploring the coast, the DART suburban train is a great option. See timetables at irishrail.ie

Walking & Cycling
Many areas of Dublin are perfect for walking or cycling. Students can also use Dublin Bikes for short trips: dublinbikes.ie

Taxi & Ride-Sharing
For emergencies or late-night travel, apps like Free Now, Bolt, and Lyft are widely used.
